Okay granted, this is a little late in being published. I've not been overly busy but I must admit the arrival of the latest milestone has allowed a lot of people in the REME Esports management to 'deflate' a little and take a short while to relax.

So what this milestone you ask? Well the arrival of our official jerseys of course, this is something that has been in the pipeline for almost 6 months now and the hard work has now finally paid dividends! Now I did have a discussion with a person the day before arrival, they asked why I was so excited, were the shirts going to make us famous? Would they grow the club single-handedly? Well, no and no. Not exactly anyway.

What it does do however is to give us an unique identity that people can recognise. In a digital world that is swarmed with content creators and full-time gamers, brand identity coupled with accessibility is often the difference between creating waves or becoming just another drop in a vast ocean. We can place logos on our streams and tag to death on social media all we want, but now we and the viewing public can look at our shirts with our partners, and I suppose it makes it more tangible for them and us.

I may have a biased view, but within Army Esports, REME is currently streets ahead in our development. This includes our viewership, revenue generation, brand identity to name but a few, and slowly but surely, our in-game performances are beginning to match the ambition and hunger our members have shown since the start. Every area of our on-going gaming community has improved this season, and the new teams have at least finished without having to forfeit games or any major organisation issues. I think every team and those on the fringes can be proud in what they've achieved so far.

So no, we are not famous. But why aim for the top of a hill when you can aim for the summit of a mountain? With Lions League 3 coming to a conclusion in the next week, our teams will have the opportunity to start freely pursuing other competitions and tournaments without fear of a rescheduled game scuppering their plans. Teams can begin a the rigorous selection process and training programme to set their rosters for season 4. We must make sure that we use our time efficiently to maximise the benefit. It should be noted too, no current team member is safe, we start from zero and make sure the best players fill the appropriate spots, that lies with the team managers to make sure this happens.

On a final note, having spoken to our associates at Omen and AMD last week, they are also keen to take our partnership even further and help us continue building our brand identity. How we achieve this is a matter for discussion but you can also do your part too, by spreading the word in your own gaming communities and getting the followship up from your friends and families. They are the ones that will be our core and be looking our for your performances and updates. Help us engage on the socials by leaving likes, comments and shares. These interactions are all part of the algorithm by which social media will push our content our beyond are current reach. We have now taken the first real steps into the Esports world, its down to you all now to help us grow and see what we can achieve in the second half of 2021.
